The NLR Group is led by Ms. Nancy Rosenthal, who specializes in providing healthcare consultative services in the areas of strategy, planning, regulatory issues, marketing, and business development. Begun in 2017, she has worked with healthcare companies, entrepreneurs, investors and not-for-profit organizations. Ms. Rosenthal teaches MIS and Strategic Planning in the graduate-level Healthcare Administration Program at the University of New Haven. Prior to starting her own firm, she was a Senior Vice President at Greenwich Hospital in Greenwich, CT responsible for strategy, planning, business development, marketing, physician relations, public and community relations, volunteer services, branding, and other clinical and non-clinical departments including outpatient surgery, chemical dependency, occupational medicine, volunteer services and rehabilitation services. She introduced the first strategic planning process resulting in the building of a brand-new hospital. She was instrumental in the effort for achieving significant volume growth from expanded geographies resulting in significant revenue growth. Concurrent to her role at Greenwich Hospital, she was the Vice President of Strategy and Regulatory Planning at Yale New Haven Health System across the system’s five delivery networks in Connecticut and Rhode Island. She played a lead role in the affiliation of a two-hospital health system with Yale New Haven Health.
In addition, Ms. Rosenthal held the position of Vice President, Marketing and Business Development at Unity Point Health with corporate offices in Des Moines, Iowa. In that role, she identified a need for and developed the initial site plan for the development of a western suburban campus. She led the efforts for the purchase of a claims benefit company, mobile IV therapy service and durable medical equipment company. Ms. Rosenthal worked for a national market research firm and has utilized her extensive analytical skills in each position she has held.
Ms. Rosenthal received her Bachelor Degree in Political Science with a Minor in Statistics and her Master’s in Public Health, both from the University of Michigan. Ms. Rosenthal obtained a certificate in Finance from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. She is on the Board of Directors of the River House Adult Day Center in Greenwich, the Connecticut chapter of the Association of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and is involved in several community organizations. She has presented at national conferences on topics including Ethical Issues in Health Care, Accountable Continuum of Care and Aligning Quality Outcomes and Financial Performance.
